Flutter of Joy
A Crafty “Oops” Turns into a Creative Win
You know that feeling when your order of new crafty supplies arrives and you can’t wait to dive in? That was me yesterday… until I realized I had accidentally ordered the wrong stamp set. Major facepalm moment.
At first, I was a little bummed—especially since I had plans in mind for a different set. But instead of packing it away unused, I turned to YouTube for a little distraction and ended up watching a video by Cathy Zielske. She was demonstrating a fun smooching technique, and it instantly sparked an idea: what if I tried it with the set I did receive?
And wow—am I glad I did!
The card came together with a few soft, messy ink smooshes as a background and some simple butterfly outlines layered on top. The result? Light, playful, and full of texture. That little sentiment—"sending you a flutter of joy"—felt so fitting for the moment.
So here’s your reminder: not all crafting “mistakes” are disasters. Sometimes they’re just creativity in disguise.
Have you ever turned a crafting oops into something beautiful? I’d love to hear your story in the comments!
Happy stamping,
Lisa
