Paper Pumpkin Possibilities: Bikes & Blooms

Hello Stampin' Friends!
Welcome to another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! I’m so happy you stopped by today. Each month, our team shares creative ideas and fresh inspiration using the newest Paper Pumpkin kit, and this month we’re featuring the beautiful June 2026 kit, Bikes & Blooms.
This month I created a set of three cards using the Double Vision technique, a simple yet effective way to add dimension and visual interest to your card backgrounds. The technique begins by cutting a piece of Designer Series Paper into evenly spaced strips. The strips are then adhered back onto the card front, alternating between flat adhesive and Dimensionals or foam strips. This creates subtle layers across the background, adding depth without making the card overly bulky.
For these cards, I used papers and elements from the Bikes & Blooms Paper Pumpkin Kit. The soft colors and charming bicycle images worked perfectly with the dimensional striped backgrounds. Once the background was assembled, I layered the bicycle die cuts, flower baskets, and sentiments over the top. The raised strips beneath the focal elements create additional shadows and texture, helping the designs stand out even more.
One of the things I enjoy most about the Double Vision technique is how versatile it is. It can be used with any Designer Series Paper, making it easy to customize for different seasons, occasions, and styles. Whether you prefer clean and simple cards or more detailed designs, this technique adds an extra layer of interest that takes your projects to the next level. It's a fun way to give your favorite patterned papers a fresh new look while creating cards that are sure to catch the eye.
Happy Stampin'!
