You Deserve a Little Treat

Hi Stamping Friends!

This card combines one of my favorite techniques with some of the sweetest images from the Silly Old Bear Suite Collection. The scenic background creates a peaceful setting for Pooh and his hunny pot, while the sentiment, "You deserve a little treat," adds a cheerful touch. The soft yellow coloring on the images gives them a warm, storybook feel that pairs perfectly with the whimsical map-inspired designer paper.

Instead of coloring the images with markers or pencils, I used a simple acrylic block technique. First, I inked an acrylic block with Darling Duckling ink and stamped it directly onto Basic White cardstock. This created a textured block of color with lots of variation and visual interest. Once the ink was dry, I stamped the images over the colored area using Secret Sea ink. The stamped lines remain crisp while the color underneath provides a unique, almost vintage look.

After stamping, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. Because the color was added before die cutting, each image has a beautifully distressed appearance without any additional work. It's a quick and easy technique that produces a one-of-a-kind result every time.
