Stamping with Friends: May - August Catalog

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop, where we’re sharing projects featuring brand new goodies from the upcoming May–August Catalog from Stampin’ Up! I’m so excited to be hopping along with this talented group today, and I couldn’t wait to play with the Balloon Festoon Bundle. The moment I saw it, I knew it had to come home with me! Balloons are such a fun, versatile element—perfect for birthdays, celebrations, congratulations, and really any occasion that calls for a little joy.

Since this bundle doesn’t include coordinating Designer Series Paper, I decided to create my own background for a soft, custom look. I ink blended a portion of a Basic White panel using Barely Blush, then stamped over it with the confetti image in Golden Glow to create a faux DSP effect. It adds just the right amount of subtle texture and shine!
TIP: I love using Basic White thick cardstock for ink blending—it really helps achieve a smoother, more even blend.

The real star of this bundle is the set of seven nested balloon dies. I used the three smallest sizes and die cut balloons in Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow, and Petal Pink. Layering them together creates a soft, celebratory cluster with a bit of dimension and movement. I added a few sparkly embellishments for extra shine and finished it off with the cheerful “Hip Hip Hooray!” sentiment. This card came together so easily and would be perfect to have on hand for so many occasions!

Thanks so much for stopping by—be sure to continue along the hop for even more inspiration!

Happy Stampin'!
