Too Wonderful Zany Zoo

Hey Stampers!
I have another card to share with you today.  This card was made with a sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday, but I am posting about a week too late to be part of the challenge.  🤣
I used the Zany Zoo bundle for today's card.

I just couldn't pass up on this on bundle and all of the adorable images to color.  I used Stampin' Blends to color this image.  I love using the Stampin' Blends because although I am far from being an artist, I am able to get enough shadows and highlights to get results that I think look pretty good.

I used the Stylist Shapes Dies for the sentiment, cutting off one end of the banner to turn it into a flag shape.  And of course I added a few rhinestones for bling.

Happy Stampin'!

A Pumpkin Harvest of Blessings

Stampin' time has been short lately, but I made some time today to make a card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
I used the new Pick of the Patch Bundle.  The bundle includes the stamp set and a coordinating punch that punches two pumpkins sizes, the stem and a leaf.

I stamped the pumpkins in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Flirty Flamingo. I punched them out and attached them to the velum with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I stamped the small leaf trio in Crushed Curry on Crushed Curry Cardstock to create a simple monochromatic background piece and layered the vellum piece on that.  The sentiment was stamped in Pecan Pie and die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies

The Pecan Pie layer was embossed with the cross-hatch design from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  This is a set of 3 embossing folders and is a great addition to your stash!  The embossed piece was layered on an A2 card base.
For bling I used the 2023-2025 In Color Dots.  While the dots are not the exact same color, the Wheat Wheat dots are a pretty close match to Crushed Curry.

Stepped Up Orange Translucent Florals

I like the card I shared yesterday.  It fit the guidelines for the Less is More challenge I was making it for.  But to be honest.  It wasn't me.  Sometimes you just need to keep working on a card until to you get it right!

Just like yesterday, I paired Pumpkin Pie with Pebbled Path and used the Translucent Florals bundle.  For the new card I added the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder and Stylish Shapes Dies for the sentiment.  I stamped and die cut a bunch of images and then played around, arranging them in different ways until I was pleased with the look.
Of course I also added some rhinestones too for a little bling!

Which card styles do you like best?  Is less is more?  Or is more more?

Orange Translucent Florals

I have a card to share today that I made for the Less is More challenge.  This one was hard!  I love all layers, textures, colors, and prints.  So keeping it clean and simple was a challenge.  But also, I had to use orange!  If it's not a pumpkin or an autumn leaf, I rarely use orange.

For this card I paired Pumpkin Pie with Pebbled Path (my new favorite neutral) and create flowers with the Translucent Florals bundle.  I achieved the two shades of orange by "stamping off" onto scrap paper first for the smaller flower.

Although the challenge stipulates minimal or no embellishments, I couldn't resist added a few rhinestones.  'Cause really, what is crafting without a little bling?

Thanks for checking out my card!  I hope you'll follow me for more.

Happy Stampin'!

Let's Go Shopping

Ahhh! It feels so good to be back stamping again.  I have made a few cards over the last few years, but I have missed doing it on an almost daily basis.  (And I really miss Janet, my partner in crime!)

What made me get back into stamping?  I have been doing a bible study recently that uses a journal scripture mapping journal.  The designer of the journal also designed some coordinating stamps.  I, of course, purchased those too.  And then second I held one of those stamps in my hand, I felt homesick for my beloved Stampin' Up! stash!

When going through the current catalog, The Les Shoppes Suite really stood out to me for several reasons: (1) it's unique!, (2) it's line art and I still have good collection of Stampin' Blends to color with, and (3) there is a coordinating set in the upcoming Mini Catalog that coordinates with the dies!  (If you know me at all, you know that I love my coordinating products!!!)

So, here I am starting over again....literally.  I have very few supplies, and need to rebuild my ink and cardstock collection.  So, posts may be slow and far between at first, but please follow along as I love to share what I have made!  And if you leave me a comment I'll be sure to visit you too!

Happy Stampin'!

Hello! My name is Lisa and I'm addicted to Stampin' Up!

Yay!  I'm back!  I'm a demo again!
I deleted my old blog when I resigned from Stampin' Up! a few years ago, so I'm starting with a clean slate.  So, where have I been?  Well, the last few years have been a journey.  In September of 2020 I opened an online needlework shop because I was spending so much time with one of my other favorite hobbies: cross stitch.  It has been a fun, exciting, and sometimes exhausting, learning experience.

You can check it out here:

And while I am thoroughly enjoying this endeavor, I still miss my stampin' time.  I decided to make Christmas cards this year and then one thing led to to another.  So, we'll have to see where this adventure takes me.  I hope you'll follow along!
