Crafting Beyond February: Hearts of Elegance Meets Perennial Lavender
Who says Valentine’s Day stamps are only for February? 💜
Today, I’m sharing a delightful handmade card that proves love-inspired designs can be versatile and timeless. By combining the Hearts of Elegance stamp set with the beautiful, calming hues of Perennial Lavender paper, I created a card perfect for any occasion.
For this simple card, I die cut the heart shape and attached it to the Designer Series Paper, cutting off the edge of the heart to add some extra visual interest. I then adhered the DSP layer to a card base. The sentiment was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and die cut with my most used dies: Stylish Shapes. I attached the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals to make the message pop. Of course no card is complete without a little bling! CLICK HERE for a full supply list.
By changing the colors and keeping the design clean and elegant, this card can easily be adapted for birthdays, friendship notes, or “just because” messages. Love isn’t bound to one day a year—and neither should your stamps be!
Tips for Crafting Outside the Box
Here are a few ideas to help you get more use out of your seasonal stamps:
- Color Outside the Season: Swap traditional Valentine’s colors like red and pink for unexpected hues such as lavender, mint green, or soft blues.
- Mix and Match Paper: Pair love-themed stamps with patterned paper that suits your desired theme.
- Layer and Embellish: Add texture with embossed backgrounds, ribbons, or delicate die cuts to elevate your design.
Happy Crafting!
