Mushroom Magic: Bringing Terrific Toadstools to Life with a Blending Brush

 

There’s something magical about toadstools—they add a whimsical charm to any card! Today, I’m excited to share a hand stamped card featuring the Terrific Toadstools stamp set. With a little help from a blending brush, I was able to bring this mushroom to life with extra color and dimension.

Adding Depth and Dimension

I wanted the mushroom on this card to have some additional color.  After trying a couple techniques, I decided to try something new (to me). Using a blending brush, I added additional color with soft, circular motions around the edge of the stamp, giving the mushroom a beautiful, shaded effect. This simple technique brought depth and dimension to the image, making it truly pop off the page!

Creating the Perfect Background

To complete the look, I paired the focal layer with the Toadstool Garden Designer Series Paper. This whimsical background was the perfect match, creating a playful, forest-like scene.
