Extraordinary Flora for Freshly Made Sketches
Hi stamping friends!
Today I’m excited to share a card inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I love how a good sketch can kick-start the creative process, and this one led me to a fresh and fun floral design using the new Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and the gorgeous Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.
Sketch-Inspired Design
For the main focal area, I started by cutting the smallest hexagon shape from a panel of Basic White Cardstock. This cut-out created a lovely window, allowing the Perennial Lavender DSP to peek through as a soft, textured background.
To frame the hexagon window and give it a little more pop, I used the second-smallest hexagon die to create a Lost Lagoon frame. I love how this extra layer brings a touch of bold color and frames the DSP perfectly.
Extraordinary Florals
The beautiful floral accents were created using the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape—one of my favorite time-saving products! I applied a strip of the washi to a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock before die-cutting the flowers with the coordinating dies. It’s such an easy way to get vibrant, watercolor-look florals with zero mess!
Finishing Touches
I added a few sparkly embellishments for extra shine and stamped the sentiment, “You are seriously the best”, in Petunia Pop from the Textures & Notes stamp set. The fresh color combo and thoughtful sentiment make this a perfect card to send a little gratitude or encouragement to someone special.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this card inspires you to try using washi tape in a new way or to join this week’s sketch challenge. Let me know in the comments if you give it a try—I’d love to see what you create!
Happy stamping,
💜 Lisa
