Layered Stencils + Bold Die Cuts = Birthday Card Magic!

Hi crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a birthday card that was such a joy to make—and it gave me the perfect excuse to play with a new stencil set I’ve been loving lately!

The background was created using the Hero Arts Layered Stencils of the Month. I’m so impressed by how easy it was to line everything up and layer the colors to create these gorgeous blooms. I used Highland HeatherGorgeous GrapeSoft Sea Foam, and Shaded Spruce for a fun, fresh color combo that feels like spring in full bloom.

To finish it off, I added a big, bold sentiment using the “Wanted to Say” dies from Stampin’ Up!—one of my favorite retired sets. I love how the layered look of the die cuts stands out against all that floral goodness.

I added a few rhinestones for a touch of sparkle (because, why not?), and layered the card onto coordinating cardstock for a clean, polished look.

This one definitely brightened my craft room—and I hope it brings a smile to the birthday girl who receives it!

Have you tried layered stencils yet? I’d love to hear your favorite techniques or color combos in the comments below!

Happy stamping,
Lisa
