Watercolored Mixed Florals and More Messages

Watercolor Backgrounds + More Messages = A Simply Incredible Card!

Lately, I’ve been having so much fun playing with watercolor backgrounds using Stampin’ Up! inks, and today I’m excited to share a card that really showcases how simple techniques can create stunning results.

For this card, I used the wet-on-wet technique on watercolor paper, which means I first wet the paper with clean water and then added drops and swipes of ink to let the colors blend naturally. The ink colors I chose—Balmy Blue, Lemon Lolly, and Soft Sea Foam—created a soft and dreamy background that reminds me of a peaceful garden in early spring.

Once the background dried, I stamped a floral image using Secret Sea ink. I love how the subtle outline adds elegance without overpowering the softness of the watercolor.

To finish the card, I used the More Messages bundle for the sentiment. If you haven’t checked out this bundle yet, it’s such a timesaver! It includes a full set of sentiments on one large stamp and coordinates with a single die—so you can stamp once, die-cut once, and end up with a bunch of sentiments ready to go. I heat embossed the sentiment in white and layered it over a small ribbon accent for a bit of texture and shine.

This card is a perfect example of how you can create something beautiful with just a few supplies and some creativity!

Happy stamping!
