You Are One of A Kind: A Burst of Color From My Stash
Do you ever sit down to craft and feel like revisiting some of your older supplies? That was me this week—I pulled out some long-loved, retired favorites and let a little rainbow magic happen. ✨
This cheerful card came together using items straight from my stash, and I couldn’t be happier with the result! The adorable unicorn is from the retired Unicorn Wishes stamp set by Gina K Designs. It’s a set I’ve held onto for years, and it never fails to make me smile. I paired it with the Patchwork Pieces die from Stampin’ Up, also retired, which created the perfect stitched background to play with color.
And speaking of color…
This combo was inspired by the Color Cube by Sarah Renae Clark—a fantastic tool filled with hundreds of curated color palettes. Each card features a color swatch and a coordinating photo, making it super easy to find beautiful and unexpected combinations. I pulled out one of my favorite Color Cube cards and used it as my jumping-off point!
Here’s the vibrant combo I used:
I love how these colors come alive against each other. The Patchwork Pieces die helps each one shine while adding movement and texture. I finished it all off with a circle featuring the sentiment “You are one of a kind”—because who wouldn’t love to receive that reminder?
This card was a great reminder that some of the best supplies are the ones we've had all along. If you’ve got a stash full of retired or older products, don’t be afraid to bring them back out and make something magical.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! 💖
Let me know in the comments—have you tried the Color Cube or used it to inspire your crafting?
Happy stamping!
