Balloon-Filled Birthday Card Fun!

I’m always up for making a birthday card, especially one as cheerful and colorful as this! When I saw the Balloon Background Die-n-Stencil set from Waffleflower, I knew it would be perfect for layering a playful background. Add in a fun sentiment with Kristina Werner’s Birthday Script dies, and you've got a card that’s ready to party!

Card Details:

To create the background, I die cut the balloon background and then ink blended through the coordinating stencil using soft shades of pink, teal, and yellow—keeping it light and festive. I adhered the balloons on the card base. It creates a full, dimensional look without a ton of bulk.

For the sentiment, I combined a chunky silver foil “HAPPY” with the delicate script “birthday” underneath. The mix of fonts adds a lot of personality, and I couldn’t resist finishing it off with a few sequins for sparkle.

This card came together pretty quickly and would be easy to recreate in different color schemes for other celebrations too. I’m thinking rainbow next time!

Thanks for stopping by—I'd love to hear what colors you’d use for this balloon background!
