Poolside Birthday Fun

 

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I’m sharing a playful birthday card featuring the Poolside Pets stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs. I just couldn’t resist these adorable animals lounging in the pool with their sunglasses—they’re full of summer vibes and perfect for a cheerful birthday greeting!

The layout for this card was inspired by this week’s sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I always love how a good sketch challenge helps jumpstart my creativity, and this one was no exception!

Card Details:

I started by stamping and coloring the critters from Poolside Pets with Copic and Stampin' Blends markers, keeping the colors bright and sunny. For the pool background, I used a soft cardstock color to mimic a pool-like atmosphere.  For the background I used printed paper that resembles sun rays  to keep the summer theme going. The sentiment is also from the same set—clean, simple, and perfect for a fun card like this.

I popped up the pets with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension and added a few embellishments to finish it off and give that splashed-water feel.

This card came together so easily, and I can’t wait to send it off to a summer birthday friend!
