Sending Bear Hugs

Hi Friends!

Today I’m excited to share a card I created for Altenew’s 30 Day Challenge. The prompt for today was to make a card using a die you’ve never used before. This adorable polar bear die arrived just a few days ago, and I couldn’t resist bringing him to life on a card.

To start, I created the background using Altenew’s Sweater Knit Stencil. I blended an ombre of blue inks—BlueberryBlue Horizon, and Ride the Wave—to give a cozy, wintry feel.

After die cutting the polar bear, I stamped the eyes, nose, and ear detail with navy ink. For extra dimension, I used a Copic marker to add shading to the bear itself, as well as a soft shadow underneath to ground the image.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment, “sending bear hugs,” in navy ink to coordinate with the other details.

I love how this little scene turned out—perfect for sending a warm hug across the miles!

Happy crafting! 🐻💙
