A Farewell to Summer Beach Days

As summer begins to wind down, I couldn’t resist making one last summer-themed card as a little tribute to beach days. Nothing says “relaxation” quite like a comfy beach chair and a colorful umbrella!

For this card, I used the Summer Wishes bundle from Altenew to create the wooden chair and umbrella. I love how detailed the images are—it instantly makes you feel like you’re sitting by the ocean with the sun setting in the distance.

The background was ink-blended using soft shades of yellow, pink, and blue to mimic an early evening summer sky. To finish it off, I added a few sequin embellishments for a subtle, extra touch of interest.

This card makes me smile—it’s a reminder of carefree days, warm evenings, and the joy of summer. Even though the season may be wrapping up, I think this sentiment is perfect year-round: “You are awesome.”
