Festive Swag Making Spirits Bright

Hello Crafty Friends!

I’ve got a Christmas card to share with you today—and I had so much fun making it! I was excited to break out some new goodies from Simon Says Stamp, but instead of going with the usual red and green, I decided to shake things up with some unexpected colors.

To pick my palette, I pulled out the Color Cube for inspiration. I didn’t match the colors exactly, but it gave me a great starting point, and I love how the combination turned out.

For the focal point, I used Simon Says Stamp’s Festive Swag stencil and die set to create that beautiful holiday swag. The sentiment is from Making Spirits Bright by CZ Design, and I stacked both the swag and sentiment on an extra die cut layer for a bit more dimension.

The background is stamped with the White Christmas Text stamp using white pigment ink. I went for light, uneven coverage to give it a soft, distressed feel—just enough texture without overpowering the design.

So… have you started on your Christmas cards yet?

Happy Stamping,
Lisa
