Happy National Light House Day!

 

Hello Crafty Friends!

Did you know today is National Lighthouse Day? It's the perfect excuse to break out some lighthouse-themed supplies and create a fun card to celebrate!

For the layout, I was inspired by this week’s sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches—a great jumping-off point when you’re looking for a bit of structure but still want to play with creative elements.

Living here in Michigan, the Great Lakes State, I’m surrounded by lighthouse inspiration. We’ve got so many beautiful ones, each with its own unique colors and charm. But for today’s card, I decided to go a little off the beaten path with the color palette.

I used Concord & 9th’s Powder, Sweet Pea, and Lemongrass—such a fresh and unexpected combo that really made this card feel bright and fun!

To finish off the design, I added a couple of postage stamps using the Postal Collage Coastal Stencils from Waffle Flower. These little details tied everything together and gave the card a nice, nautical touch.
