It's Your Day! Celebrate with Confetti

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I’m sharing a cheerful card I created with the It’s Your Day Confetti Layering Stencil from Hero Arts. This stencil was originally part of the March 2025 Layering Stencils of the Month subscription, but good news—it’s now available on the Hero Arts website while supplies last!

I had so much fun playing with this stencil set. To give the design extra depth, I used multiple ink colors on each layer. Since the bold sentiment is the star of the card, I kept the layout clean and simple.

Creating this card:

Stencil Layer One: Blend Papaya, Dandelion, and Kiwi across each letter, letting the colors overlap slightly.

Stencil Layer Two: Add Cotton Candy at the top of the letters and blend into Peony toward the bottom.

Stencil Layer Three: Blend Kiwi, Dandelion, and Papaya diagonally across the panel for a playful, confetti-like effect.

Stencil Layer Four: Finish with a soft wash of Peony over the entire stencil to tie everything together.

Die Cutting: Trim your stenciled panel with a rectangle die (I used Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies).

Layering: Mount the stenciled panel on a Kiwi die-cut piece with dimensional adhesive, then adhere to a white card base.

Finishing Touch: Add sequins or other clear embellishments for just the right amount of sparkle.

And that’s it—a bright and festive card ready to celebrate someone’s special day!
