Pretty Petals Birthday
Hey Crafty Friends!
I’ve got a fun project to share today featuring a company that’s new to me—This Calls for Confetti! They offer stamps, dies, stencils, and (of course!) tons of fun confetti options that are perfect for shaker cards. Definitely check out their site if you love adding sparkle and movement to your cards.
For today’s card, I used the Pretty Petals layering stencil, and let me just say—I’m in love with how it turned out! I reached for my Altenew inks and pulled shades from three different color families. For the large petals, I started with Pink Diamond and Dew Drop, then deepened the color with Pinkalicious and Aqualicious. For the smaller details, I went with Morning Frost—a soft, warm gray that added just the right amount of contrast.
The finished stenciling was so pretty, I actually struggled to pick a sentiment because I didn’t want to cover any of those gorgeous flowers! I eventually landed on the Happy Sentiments stamp set. I stamped "Happy" in Moon Rock (a rich warm gray) and "Birthday" in Pinkalicious to tie it all together.
Confession: I didn’t realize when I ordered that there’s a coordinating die set for the sentiments—oops! So I trimmed mine by hand, but I’ve linked the die set below for you because it includes lots of layering options.
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you’ve tried anything from This Calls for Confetti—I’d love to hear your favorites.
Happy crafting!
Lisa
