Wild Birds Postage Collage

Hi Crafty Friends!

I’m back with another card for the monthly Postage Party Card Hop! This month I tried my hand at “ink smooshing” paired with some silhouette bird stamps. I really love how it turned out—each little “stamp” feels like its own tiny piece of art.

For the backgrounds, I smooshed soft purple and blue shades onto cardstock to create a watercolor effect. I’ll be honest—it took me a couple of tries to get it right. Since I wanted to do the inking through stencils, I had to be careful not to use too much water. The results weren’t exactly what I had pictured at first, but I decided to keep going, and I’m so glad I did.

Once the backgrounds were dry, I stamped the bird silhouettes in crisp black ink. The mix of owls and songbirds really brought the design to life. To tie in the postage theme, I added small details like the “cents” marks and even a postmark image.

The sentiment “all my love” was the perfect finishing touch—sweet, bold, and just right for a card that looks ready to be mailed off to someone special.

I had so much fun creating this one, and I can’t wait to see what everyone else in the hop has made. These monthly hops are always so inspiring! Be sure to head over to Instagram to check out all the beautiful creations.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy crafting!

Lisa
