Altenew Build-A-Garden: Serene Blooms

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I’m sharing a card I created with Altenew’s new Build-A-Garden subscription set: Serene Bloom. This collection is packed with creative possibilities—it includes stamps, dies, and coloring stencils to make crafting floral designs effortless and fun.

The Serene Bloom set features two stunning floral clusters, a classic vase image, and a variety of versatile sentiments. What I especially love is how the coloring stencils take the guesswork out of shading and blending. They make it easy to achieve bold, dimensional flowers in no time.

Creating this card:

  • Stamp the floral clusters from the Serene Bloom set in a light neutral ink, keeping the stamps in your stamp positioner for easy alignment.
  • Use the coordinating stencils to color the flowers (yellow tulips + purple blooms).
  • Restamp the flowers, using Black Obsidian ink.  Die cut with coordinating dies.
  • Die cut the Circle Quilt Cover Die from white cardstock and layer it over a soft lilac card base.
  • Arrange the vase and flowers, then adhere to the card front with foam adhesive for dimension.
  • Stamp and die cut the sentiment. Attach it with liquid glue in the center and foam adhesive on each end for a balanced look.

This set is perfect whether you enjoy stamping, die cutting, stenciling—or all of the above! If you love creating floral cards, the Build-A-Garden: Serene Bloom is a must-have addition to your craft room!
