Clean and Modern Birthday


Hello Stamping Friends!

Sometimes a bold background is all you need to make a simple focal point shine. Today’s birthday card features Altenew’s Deco Diamonds stencil for a striking geometric backdrop paired with a gift box and sentiment. I love how the clean lines of the background complement the soft gray and gold tones of the present.


Creating this card:

  • Start with a white card base.

  • Blend aqua and peach inks over a white cardstock panel using Altenew’s Deco Diamonds stencil to create the background.

  • Cut the panel and adhere it to the card front.

  • Die cut the present and bow from white cardstock using the Time to Celebrate die set, then color them with inks and a blending brush.

  • Stamp “happy birthday” above the gift on a stitched arched panel.

  • Adhere the gift with foam tape to add dimension.

  • Finish with a few silver embellishments for sparkle.

This design works beautifully for birthdays, but you could easily swap the sentiment and create cards for any celebration.
