Fall is My Favorite Color!

How fun is this adorable squirrel playing in a pile of fall leaves? This card was created using the Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month, and I love how everything in the kit works perfectly together.

This month’s kit includes:

• A stamp set with coordinating dies

• An additional die set

• Cardstock

• Embellishments

Everything you need for endless fall-inspired projects! One of my favorite parts of the Hero Arts subscriptions is that all of them follow the same theme, making it so easy to mix and match your favorite products from each.

Creating this card:

• Stamped & Colored: I stamped the squirrel, banner, and leaves from the kit, then colored them with alcohol markers for rich autumn tones.

• Die Cutting: Used the coordinating dies to cut out the images for clean edges and easy layering.

• Arched Frame: Cut a frame from Terra Cotta cardstock with an arched die to highlight the playful scene.

• Layered Leaves: Arranged the pile of leaves behind the frame before attaching everything to the card base.

• Foam Tape Details: Popped up the squirrel and leaf banner with foam tape for added dimension.

• Finishing Touches: Sprinkled on enamel dots from the kit for a little extra texture and interest.

I love how the cheerful squirrel looks like he’s diving right into a colorful leaf pile—it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season.
