Snowman Kisses & Penguin Hugs

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I’m sharing a cheerful winter card featuring the Waffle Flower Nesting Postage Collage Let it Snow Stencil. I love how this set lets you create sweet little postage-style scenes, and I couldn’t resist pairing the snowman and penguin together. Let’s dive into how this card came together!

Creating this card:

  1. Die Cut Panels – Start by die cutting the main postage panel from white cardstock using the Nesting Postage Collage die.

  2. Stencil the Images – Blend ink over the Let it Snow Stencil, building up the snowman, penguin, scarf, hat, and buttons.

  3. Add Details – Use a white gel pen to add small highlights to the hat, scarf, and buttons for extra dimension.

  4. Stamp the Sentiment – Stamp the word “Kisses” in the top corner of the postage panel. (Nesting Postage Collage Greeting stamp)

  5. Create the Frames – Die cut the postage shapes again from red cardstock to create bold mat for the stenciled images.

  6. Prepare the Background – Cut the main card panel from kraft cardstock. Using the Random Rhombus stencil with kraft ink, lightly blend over the panel for a tone-on-tone pattern.

  7. Assemble the Card – Mount the kraft panel onto a white card base. Adhere the postage shapes to the card front using foam tape for dimension.

The snowman looks so sweet with his cozy hat and scarf, and that penguin just makes me smile every time I see it!  Pairing them together in the bright red postage frames really makes them pop against the neutral kraft background.

Happy Crafting!
