Sweet and Simple Candy Cane Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends!

I’m excited to share another festive project with you today featuring the Hero Arts Candy Cane Season Collection. This collection is full of sweet holiday charm, and I couldn’t resist making a cheerful card with a pair of candy canes, some holiday greenery, and a pretty bow to tie it all together.

This design has a classic Christmas feel but with a fresh pop of color thanks to the soft teal background. It’s a clean and simple card that’s quick to put together, yet still looks polished and full of holiday cheer.

Creating this card:

  • Background: Blend teal ink over a white cardstock panel using a large blending brush with long bristles for smooth, even coverage. Adhere the panel to a white card base.

  • Frame: Die cut two rectangle frames from white cardstock. Layer and glue them together for a little added dimension, then adhere to the center of the card front.

  • Sentiment: Stamp your holiday sentiment directly onto the framed panel.

  • Focal Point: Stamp and die cut two candy canes, a bow, and a few pine sprigs. Arrange the candy canes in a criss-cross shape, securing them with foam tape for lift. Add the bow to the center, and tuck in the pine sprigs behind the candy canes using liquid adhesive.

This card comes together quickly, and the layered die cuts give it just the right amount of dimension without making it bulky—perfect for slipping into the mail this holiday season.
