Sweet Holiday Cheer with Hero Arts

The holidays are the perfect time to add a little extra sweetness to your cardmaking, and what could be more festive than candy canes? Today I’m sharing a playful holiday card created with the Candy Cane Season collection from Hero Arts. This collection is brimming with peppermint fun—think stencils, stamps, and coordinating dies that make it easy to whip up cheerful, eye-catching designs. Whether you’re making cards for friends and family or building up your stash of holiday creations, this collection will definitely bring some merry-mint magic to your craft table!

How I Made This Card:
Using the Candy Cane Toss Up Stencil, I ink-blended the candy cane background with pink and red on white cardstock.
I adhered the panel on an angle onto kraft cardstock, cutting away the excess for a clean edge. I then added small strips of red cardstock along the stenciled panel.
The main panel was then matted on red cardstock and adhered to a crisp white card base.
For the sentiment, I stamped “a little merri-mint never hurt nobody” from the A Little Merri-Mint Stamp & Cut set with embossing ink, heat embossed it in white, and die cut the greeting.
Finally, I popped the sentiment up with foam adhesive for extra dimension.
