Creepin’ It Real Spider Card
Eeek! This spider might be a little creepy—but he’s also totally cute! I had so much fun creating this playful Halloween card for Day 5 of Craftoween. I wanted to make something lighthearted and fun rather than spooky, and this cheerful spider fit the bill perfectly. The mix of bright, happy colors, a whimsical hat, and a friendly smile make this little guy more charming than chilling. Paired with a stenciled star background and a touch of sparkle, it’s the kind of Halloween card that makes you grin instead of scream!
Creating this card:
Create the background: Blend a bright green ink on a card panel using a star stencil to add a subtle tone-on-tone pattern for a fun, spooky vibe.
Add the focal panel: Die-cut and assemble your adorable spider, complete with his fancy hat and sweet little face.
Add festive details: I used the banner from Day 4 to hang above the spider—perfect for adding just a touch of Halloween charm.
Finish it off: Stamp the sentiment “Creepin’ it real this Halloween” below the spider to tie the whole card together.
The combination of cheerful colors, stars, and that dapper little spider makes this card perfect for sending smiles (and maybe a few squeals) this Halloween!
