Hello Crafty Friends!

The pasta characters from the new Buon Appetito Collection by Spellbinders stole my heart at first glance. Each little face is full of charm and personality—it’s impossible not to smile while creating with them! I love how these sets make it easy to bring a playful, lighthearted feel to any card.

For these cards, I paired the adorable Pasta Friends Die Set with the Al Dente 3D Embossing Folder, and it completely elevates the background. The texture is so detailed—you can actually see all the little pasta shapes embossed into the paper. It adds just the right amount of dimension without taking away from those cute focal images.

I decided to use a mini slimline format because the Pasta Friends are perfectly sized for it! The proportions feel just right, and there’s still plenty of room to show off that amazing embossed detail.
