Lovely Linocuts: Nativity

The classic song “The Holly & The Ivy” has such a timeless charm, and it was the perfect inspiration for today’s card. I focused on the verse that says “Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ” — a line that beautifully captures the peace and wonder of the season. Though my design doesn’t include actual holly or ivy, it’s filled with the natural imagery and serene feeling that the song evokes.

For this project, I used the Lovely Linocuts: Nativity Collection from The Greetery, a company that’s brand new to me! I was immediately drawn to the folk-art style and the way the large background stamp tells a complete story in one image. The detailed lines and nature-inspired elements made it easy to create a meaningful card with a simple yet striking look.

I absolutely fell in love with this bundle and can already tell it won’t be my last purchase from The Greetery. Their products have such an artistic feel that really speaks to me. I’m looking forward to exploring more of their collections and bringing even more creative inspiration to my craft table this season.
