One Design, Two Vibes

Hello Crafty Friends!

One card design, two totally different vibes—thanks to the magic of color! Today I’m sharing a pair of “thanks” cards created with the same Concord & 9th Granny Square Turnabout stamp, but each one takes on its own personality through color. Both palettes were inspired by cards pulled from the Color Cube, one of my favorite tools for sparking fresh combinations.

For the first card, I followed the Color Cube inspiration closely and chose Stampin’ Up! colors: Old Olive, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, and Azure Afternoon. The bold, bright mix gives the granny squares a cheerful, playful feel. Paired with the layered “thanks” sentiment and the little crochet hook detail, this card practically radiates joyful energy.

The second card leans into a softer, more muted interpretation of the inspiration. Instead of matching the colors exactly, I used Altenew inks in Amber Blaze, Apricot Frost, Twilight Sky, and Toasted Mauve. The sentiment shadow is cut from Stampin’ Up!’s Moody Mauve cardstock, tying everything together beautifully. It’s amazing how the same stamp can look completely different just by shifting the palette—such a fun reminder of how powerful color truly is!

Happy Crafting!
