Stitchmas Day 1 | Sparkling Ornaments

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am so excited to kick off 2025 Stitchmas! This series combines three of my favorite things: papercrafting, needlework, and Christmas. There’s something so special about mixing textures and techniques to create festive pieces that truly shine. And these beautiful ornaments from Spellbinders were the perfect way to begin!

For my first card, I stitched the ornament accents using DMC Diamant Grande Metallic T, which added such a lovely shimmer and elegant detail to the pattern. On the second card, I skipped the stitching and instead accented the design with rhinestones for a sparkly, dimensional look. I love that the Spellbinders stitching dies work beautifully either way—stitched or not, the tiny holes create wonderful texture and visual interest.
