Stitchmas Day 4 | Cheers Ornament

Stitchmas Day 4 brings a touch of shimmer and texture to the holiday season! For today’s card, I wanted to let the stitching truly shine, so I reached for Altenew’s Metallic Thread Set. The soft glimmer of the metallic thread adds such a beautiful accent against the rich teal background. I alternated between a straight stitch and a modified lazy daisy stitch on the ornament for a mix of movement and sparkle. Around the stamp frame, I added a running stitch to tie it all together with a subtle, hand-finished look.

To complement the stitched details, I embossed the background using Spellbinders’ Season Sparkles 3D Embossing Folder. The dimensional ornaments and snowflakes create a tone-on-tone pattern that feels festive without overwhelming the stitched focal point. A few die-cut leaves and berries in soft pinks and aquas balance the composition and add a pop of cheerful contrast.

I love how stitching transforms a simple die-cut into something truly special — it’s like adding a touch of holiday magic with thread and texture. Each card in the Stitchmas series has its own personality, and today’s design might be my favorite yet!
