Wonder of Oz

The new Wonder of Oz collection by Graphic45, available through Spellbinders, is pure magic for any cardmaker or paper crafter! I had such a fun time playing with the BetterPress plates from this collection, featuring some of the most beloved characters from the classic story. These images were perfect for watercoloring — I love the bit of nostalgia they bring to my craft desk.

For Dorothy’s card, I used the Field of Poppies 3D embossing folder to create a soft, floral backdrop. A touch of ink blending helped highlight the flowers and added beautiful depth to the background. The soft blush tones paired so nicely with Dorothy’s blue dress and gave the card a sweet, dreamy feel.

The Tin Man card was all about texture and contrast. I ink blended a light blue sky for the background and couldn’t resist adding a yellow brick road at the bottom — the Brick-by-Brick 3D embossing folder was the perfect choice! I love how the embossed bricks add dimension and tie into the theme so well. These cards were a joy to make, and I can’t wait to explore more pieces from this charming collection.
