A Big Squishy Hug

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today’s card is all about sending love in the sweetest, simplest way. This month’s Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month includes the cutest die-cut arms, and I couldn’t resist using them to create a big squishy hug wrapped around a bright red heart. The moment I saw these dies, I knew they would make the perfect feel-good card.

To build the focal point, I layered the long striped sleeves over a large heart die cut, letting the hands stretch wide as if they’re giving the recipient a warm embrace. I kept the background a soft, light blue so the heart and arms would really pop. For the sentiment, I stamped “consider this a big squishy hug” using Crimson Core Ink — the perfect coordinating touch of red.

Cards like this remind me how powerful a handmade gesture can be. Whether someone needs encouragement, comfort, or just a reminder that they’re loved, a little paper hug can go a long way. I hope this card inspires you to create something cozy, sweet, and full of heart with your own kit this month!

Happy Crafting!
