Boardwalk Fun for The Color Hues Challenge

Hello Crafting Friends!

I couldn’t resist sneaking in one more card with the Boardwalk Fun bundle while it was still sitting on my desk. You know how that goes—sometimes a project just begs for an encore 😉. This playful Ferris wheel design feels so happy and nostalgic, and it was the perfect focal point for a cheerful, love-filled card.

For this version, I leaned into a pink and red palette inspired by the Color Hues Challenge. I used Bubble Bath, Melon Mambo, and Real Red, with Smoky Slate and Basic White stepping in as calming neutrals. The mix feels bright and fun without being overpowering, and I love how the Smoky Slate grounds all those pops of color.

To give the card a soft Valentine vibe, I paired the design with the Hearts of Love 3D Embossing Folder. That subtle heart texture adds just the right amount of interest while keeping the focus on the die-cut details. Finished with a simple “Hey, Sunshine” sentiment, this card is proof that a little color, texture, and whimsy can go a long way—and that sometimes, one more card is exactly the right decision.

Happy Crafting!
