Lovely Irish Arrangement

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

Today I’m sharing a card I created for an Instagram Hop with the theme “Luck of the Irish.” As I thought about the theme, I decided to weave in a bit of folklore. Across Ireland, it was once believed that leaving primroses on your doorstep would signal to fairies to keep your home safe from harm. The soft primrose blooms from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Arrangements bundle felt like the perfect way to send a bit of protection, happiness, and luck—especially when paired with an arched fairy door. Instead of traditional shamrocks, this design leans into storybook charm, lush greens, and warm golden tones for a fresh take on Irish-inspired crafting.

To color the flowers, I used a small blending brush to gently add color to the centers of the petals, creating soft shading and depth. The leaves were die cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock and then blended with Shaded Spruce ink to enhance dimension and give them a more natural look. Ink blending is such a simple technique, but it truly brings the flowers and foliage to life. The layered greens also help reinforce that Irish countryside feel.

I used the Everyday Arches Dies along with the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder to create the fairy door element, adding texture and architectural detail to the focal point. The arched shape instantly gives it that whimsical, tucked-away cottage vibe.

For the overall palette, I chose Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry, and Cherry Cobbler—classic colors that nod to Ireland’s lush landscapes, pots of gold, and a hint of Celtic richness. Together they create a bold yet harmonious backdrop for the soft florals. It’s a cheerful card that feels lucky, meaningful, and perfect for sending a smile.

Happy Stampin'!
