Scalloped Wished with Petals of Beauty

Today’s card was inspired by a color card that immediately caught my eye. Rather than matching it exactly, I focused on capturing the overall mood and feel. I combined Basic Gray, Flirty Flamingo, Lost Lagoon, and Petal Pink for a soft, fresh palette that feels both uplifting and comforting. The textured background, created with the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder on Petal Pink cardstock, adds subtle interest and creates a beautiful foundation for the layers on top.

For the focal point, I used the new Scalloped Wishes Bundle (available March 3rd) along with the floral images from the Petals of Beauty Bundle. The delicate scalloped frame draws attention to the sentiment, while the layered Flirty Flamingo blooms stand out against the softer background. Touches of Lost Lagoon in the foliage add balance and contrast, and stamping the greeting in Basic Gray keeps the look soft without the intensity of black ink.

To finish the card, I added a few sparkly embellishments for just the right amount of shine. This design is a great reminder that inspiration doesn’t need to be copied exactly to be effective. Letting color guide your creative choices often leads to something uniquely beautiful. If you haven’t tried pairing the Scalloped Wishes Bundle with the Petals of Beauty Bundle, this combination is definitely worth exploring.
