Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin - Simple Step-Up

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

Today I’m sharing two sets of cards created with the beautiful Lakeside Retreat Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! This kit is perfect for masculine cards, Father’s Day, birthdays, and thoughtful everyday greetings. The peaceful outdoor scenes, soft nature-inspired colors, and rustic details make it such a versatile kit.

The first thing I do with every kit is make one of each card exactly as designed. Honestly, Stampin’ Up! does such a wonderful job with these coordinated kits that they are beautiful right out of the box! Everything is ready to go, making it easy to create polished handmade cards without any extra planning. I love the cabin scene, the bike by the beach, and the peaceful boardwalk design—each one feels calm and thoughtful.

For the second set of cards, I created the same designs but stepped them up just a little by adding two simple elements: Linen Thread and the new Loose Nautical Trinkets (available beginning May 5th). Those small additions added extra texture, dimension, and just the right finishing touch. It’s amazing how something as simple as thread and embellishments can completely change the feel of a card.
