Mini Slimline Birthday Wishes

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

Today I’m sharing a mini slimline card created using Stampin’ Up!’s 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar—and this one was such a joy to put together! I started by creating my own patterned background, stamping the small flower and leaf images repeatedly to form an all-over design. This is such a fun way to stretch your supplies and create something completely custom. Once my pattern was complete, I used one of the postage-style dies from the kit to cut the panels, which adds that sweet, detailed edge and a bit of extra interest.

For my color combination, I chose Basic Beige, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, and Old Olive. These colors come together for a soft, warm palette with just the right amount of brightness. The Flirty Flamingo flower really pops against the more subtle background, while the touches of Crushed Curry and Old Olive bring in that fresh, floral feel. I love how this combination feels both cheerful and balanced—perfect for a birthday card!

To finish the design, I added some of the twine and gold embellishments that are included in the kit. These little extras make such a difference! The twine adds a bit of texture and softness, while the gold accents bring in just the right amount of sparkle. It’s always fun when a kit includes those finishing touches that help pull everything together so effortlessly.

Happy Stampin'!
