Paper Pumpkin Possibilites: Lakeside Retreat

I’m so glad you’re here! Each month, our creative team shares fresh inspiration using the latest Paper Pumpkin kit. This time, we’re featuring the April 2026 kit, Lakeside Retreat—and it truly feels like a relaxing retreat in a box!

I have had so much fun playing with the beautiful kit! This kit is full of peaceful outdoor scenes, nature-inspired colors, and designs that work perfectly for masculine cards: Father’s Day, birthdays, and thoughtful everyday greetings. For this set of cards, I wanted to stretch the kit even further and create even more with the supplies included.

I paired the kit elements with the chair dies from the Relaxing Waterside Dies, which are part of the coordinating Waterside Retreat Suite. Since the Paper Pumpkin kit was designed to coordinate with the suite, it felt like the perfect addition! I love how the Adirondack-style chairs add such a cozy lakeside feel to each design. They work beautifully with the scenic backgrounds and help create cards that feel both peaceful and personal.

To make the kit go even further, I used part of each card base from the kit to create smaller card panels—essentially doubling the number of cards I could make! This is one of my favorite ways to stretch a Paper Pumpkin kit and get even more value from the supplies. A few simple layers, added die cuts, and thoughtful sentiments turned these into a whole new set of cards. It’s such a fun reminder that with a little creativity, one kit can go so much further!
